Easter Stuff

Are you searching for the recipe for the “perfect” hard-boiled egg?
Want to avoid the dreaded green ring around the yoke?
Well, look no further!  We have the simple method for making perfect hard-boiled eggs!

Place desired amount of fresh eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
On high heat, bring to a boil for 3 minutes then place a tight lid on your pot and remove from heat for 8 minutes.

At the 8-minute mark, immediately run cold water over eggs in the pan for a few minutes to cool down quickly.  Gently move the eggs to a room temperature container and place in the refrigerator for about an hour.

Some helpful hints:
It is best to set a timer for accuracy.
Do NOT add salt to the water at any time!
If eating immediately, roll the egg gently to break the shell.  Since you refrigerated the eggs, they should peel nicely!

🙂 Heather
